Size

Component used in pneumatic control applications that allows monitoring and regulating the displacement of actuators , avoiding mechanical damage and improving system efficiency. It is generally installed at the end travel points of the actuator to detect when a travel limit has been reached.

Upon reaching the preset limit, the switch can disconnect the air supply, preventing the actuator from moving further beyond its permitted travel and protecting both the actuator and other system components.

It is designed and manufactured in accordance with international ATEX & IECEx regulations to ensure that it does not generate sparks or dangerous temperatures that could start an explosion.

Applications

Explosion Proof Pneumatic Actuator Limit Switches are devices used in pneumatic systems operating in environments where there is a risk of explosion . They are essential to ensure that pneumatic actuators operate safely and efficiently in hazardous industrial environments.

Pneumatic Valve Position Control: Explosion-proof limit switches are used to monitor and control the movement of pneumatic valves, ensuring they are in the correct position (open or closed) in potentially explosive environments.

Industrial Automation Systems: In automation applications, these switches ensure that pneumatic actuators, such as cylinders or gates, stop when they reach their predefined limit positions, preventing possible mechanical failures or accidents in hazardous areas.

Oil and Petrochemical Industry: On oil platforms or refineries, where flammable substances are handled, these devices are used to ensure that pneumatic actuators controlling valves and other key infrastructure stop their operation when reaching extreme positions, minimizing the risk of explosions.

Control of Doors and Gates in Hazardous Areas: These switches are used in systems that control access doors or security gates, both in industrial facilities and in vehicles or equipment that operate in areas with risk of explosion.

Gas Distribution Systems: In gas distribution networks, these devices ensure that pneumatic actuators for shut-off or control valves function correctly, preventing leaks or connection failures that could lead to explosions.
