Industrial Ball Valves — Full Port and Automated
Ball valves provide reliable, tight shut-off for a wide range of industrial fluids. At Cematic, we supply ball valves in stainless steel, carbon steel, and PVC — in threaded NPT, flanged ANSI, clamp, and 3-way configurations — for manual operation or fully automated with pneumatic or electric actuators.
How does a ball valve work?
A ball valve uses a spherical plug (the "ball") with a bore through its center. When the bore aligns with the pipe, flow passes freely. A 90° turn closes the valve completely. Ball valves offer near-zero pressure drop in full-port versions, excellent sealing even after years of service, and fast quarter-turn operation — making them the preferred choice for on/off isolation in demanding industrial applications.
Ball valve types available at Cematic
- Stainless Steel Ball Valve (SS316 / SS304): For corrosive fluids, high-purity processes, and food or pharmaceutical applications. Available in threaded NPT, flanged ANSI 150, and clamp-end versions.
- Carbon Steel Ball Valve: For general industrial service — steam, oil, gas, and compressed air at higher pressures. ANSI 150 flanged connections.
- PVC Ball Valve: For aggressive chemicals and water treatment where metal contact is unacceptable.
- Anticorrosive Ball Valve (PFA-lined): For highly corrosive acids and solvents. Full PFA lining protects the body and ball from chemical attack.
- 3-Way Ball Valve: For diverting or mixing flow between two outlets. Available in L-port and T-port configurations.
- Hygienic Ball Valve: Clamp-end connections in SS316L. Designed for CIP/SIP cleaning cycles in food, beverage, and biotech industries.
- Trunnion Ball Valve: For high-pressure, large-diameter applications where a floating ball is not sufficient. Fixed trunnion absorbs line pressure independently of the seat.
- Segmented Ball Valve: V-port segmented design for precise throttling and modulating control of slurries, viscous fluids, and fibrous media.
Connection standards available
NPT threaded (1/4" to 4"), ANSI 150 flanged (1" to 12"), DIN PN16 flanged, and clamp tri-clamp ends for sanitary service.
Industrial applications
Ball valves from Cematic are used in oil and gas, chemical processing, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, water treatment, power generation, and general manufacturing applications across the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
